인사말

Hi there! My name is Hannah.
I am here to help you build your confidence with English!
I have taught at all levels and ages for various purposes.
I think that the best way to excel at a language is by using it!
My classes are conversation based to give you the best experience with using your English skills. If you are looking for a teacher that will push you to the next level in English, try my classes.
Let me help you with some common mistakes for Korean speakers.

  • 1. Don’t say “I want to find my apartment” or “I want to buy my car”.
Why not? Because before you rent an apartment it is not yours, and before you buy the car it is not yours. So just say, “I want to find an apartment” “I want to buy a car”.
  • 2. Don’t say ‘make a boyfriend’.
Even though ‘make a friend’ is a common idiom, you can’t say that you made a boyfriend or girlfriend. Use ‘find’ instead of ‘make’.
  • 3. Neighbor / neighborhood
A neighbor is a person; a neighborhood is an area of a city.
    “Anyang is a nice neighborhood”
    “My neighbors are friendly”
  • 4. Me too / Me neither
The first is used to agree with a positive statement; the second is used to agree with a negative statement. So when I say, “I hate cheese cake” you should say, “Me too”. But when I say, “I don’t like cheese cake” you should say, “Me neither”.
  • 5. Fun/funny.
‘Fun’, used as an adjective, means enjoyable. ‘Funny’ means humorous.
    “Hannah’s class is fun”
    “Hannah is funny”
Come and join my class for more! I look forward to seeing you soon!
